Overview
As the HR Specialist at Blue Elephant Media, you are crucial in sourcing professional talent for our dynamic workplace. Responsibilities include recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, legal compliance, and fostering diversity.
Responsibilities
Identify and reach out to candidates for our open positions
Review incoming applications and coordinate the overall hiring process
Help new team members onboarding & improve the onboarding process
Support payroll and people admin
Work with founders and other team members to foster a diverse community and continue to grow the People & Culture team, e.g. building our company wiki, training, or team events

Requirements
Here are some things we think are important…
You're enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program and will graduate within one year.
You live in New York or can move here for the duration of your internship.
You have strong people skills and want to start your career in talent acquisition, people development, organizational design, or as an HR generalist.
Degrees in HR or HR-related internship or work experiences are bonus points
Familiarity with OPT, intern, and H1B recruitment processes is a plus
Knowledge of labor laws, intellectual property, and the Media Industry is a plus
